A massive explosion hit at a mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan on Wednesday and it killed 20 people and over 40 people injured. The blast took place in during the evening prayers near Khair Khana bazaar. This is the latest bomb blast hit in the country’s after Taliban coming back to the power.

Abdul Rahman Nafay, commander of PD13, told said that the blast happened becaus of explosives placed in a motorcycle. Furthermore, he stated three perpetrators have been arrested having connection with the blast and further investigation is going on.

20 people death and 40 injured as Explosion hit in a Kabul Mosque. During the prayers, a prominent cleric named Mullah Amir Mohammad Kabuli has been killed in the attack. According to BBC, he was the main target attack. As Amir Mohammad Kabuli was very close to Taliban.

The deputy minister Zabihullah Mujahid mentioned
“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns the explosion in a mosque in Khairkhana area of Kabul… The murderers of common people and the perpetrators of such crimes will soon be caught and punished for their heinous deeds…“
The Taliban celebrated one year of Supremacy power as a power of Afghanistan on 15th of August, 2022. However, the anniversary was marred by the attack at mosque.
