French striker and star player of Real Madrid was ruled out of the FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar due to a severe thigh injury, the news was confirmed on Saturday. During the end of the training session, just a day before World Cup, the french striker felt a strong pain in his thigh.
Benzema suffered through injury during training on Saturday
The Real Madrid striker, who scored 224 goals in 422 apps with his team unable to participate and play in the FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar. On Saturday, Nov 19, at the end of the practice session, he felt a strong pain in his thigh. And it was not the first time. He has been suffering from a thigh injury since October 2022. “In my life I have never given up but tonight I have to think of the team as I have always done so reason tells me to leave my place to someone who can help our group to make a good World Cup,” Benzema posted on his Instagram page.

MRI tests revealed France’s striker had a femoral rectus injury
After the Saturday training session, he underwent an MRI test. And after observing reports, the doctor advised him at least 3 weeks of rest because there was a lesion in the thigh muscle.
After a discussion with the Doctor, France’s head coach Didier Deschamps took a decision to withdraw Benzema from his 26-man squad
