Dwarkapeeth Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati passed away at 99 in Madhya Pradesh in Narsinghpur, district. He died in the ashram at 3.30 pm. His death information was shared with media by his second in command named Swami Sadanand Maharaj, popularly known as Dandi Swami.
The Shankaracharya was born with the name of Pothiram Upadhyay in Dighori village, Madhya Pradesh, in 1924. Most recently Shankaracharya celebrated his 99th birthday.
