Congratulations!! England is a Champion of Women’s Euro 2022: Germany lost the game with 1 goal

English women became the European champions for the first time after defeating German women. The Lionesses scored two goals against Germany in return Germany scored one goal only. The final match took place on 31st July 2022 in Wembley, London.

The first half of the match ended with zero goals from both sides. In 62 minutes of the second half, Ella Toone scored the first goal for the Three Lions. And, in 79-minute, German striker Lina Magull equalized the game by scoring a goal.

Then, the match went to extra time. In the second half of the extra time, English forward Chloe Kelly scored a goal in 110 minutes to secure a win for England. It is her first international goal of the tournament.

England hosted Germany in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 final tonight at Wembley Stadium. The Lionesses hosted in pursuit of ending 56 years of hurt. They defeated Sweden by 4 goals. Whereas, Germany performed poorly in group matches and improved their games in the knockout stages. We saw their best game in their semi-final when they defeated France by 2-1 goals.
