Stephanie has been listed as a FIFA referee since 2009. And her passion towards the referee stopped her to play football. In 2011, she started referring men’s soccer in the French third division. In 2014, Frappart became the first woman to referee in Ligue 2, the second tier of men’s professional football held in France. She took a role as a referee at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
On December 3, 2018, Frappart was appointed to officiate at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
