The thirty-first season of the English Premier League will begin on Friday which is earlier than usual because of the Qatar World Cup happening in winter. What is new in this season, who are the new players of this EPL season, and which team rejoins the EPL after long years?

EPL first Match: Arsenal Versus Crystal Palace
This season of EPL begins on 5 August Friday in Crystal Palace’s home ground Selhurst Park in London. There, Crystal Palace will play against Arsenal FC. In a recent season, Arsenal finished in the fifth season whereas Crystal Palace ended in 12th position.
Arsenal FC hopes to lift the league trophy this year by bringing Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace has acquired American player Chris Richards from Bayern Munich and Cheick Doucoure from French club Lens. The match will begin at 20:00 BST and 15:00 ET.
Who are the new Faces of the EPL 2022/23 season?
There are several players who have entered the Premier League this season. The most talked about signing this summer is Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. This 22-year-old player marked the second-highest transfer of this summer. He joined the defending champion Manchester City from German club Borussia Dortmund with a transfer fee of £54 million. Whereas, Liverpool paid £67.5 million to sign an Uruguayan player from Benfica FC.
Likewise, Tottenham Hotspur acquired Richarlison from Everton for £52.2m. Red devil (Manchester United) paid £51.63m for Ajax defender Lisandro Martínez. Furthermore, another new face is Chelsea’s defender Kalidou Koulibaly. In addition, new team Nottingham Forest’s striker Brennan Johnson is also a new face for EPL.
This season of EPL will miss big footballers who left EPL are Paul Pogba, Sadio Mané, Romelu Lukaku, Andres Christensen and Raphinha.
English giant Manchester United also hired new manager Erik Ten from Ajax. United is expecting to get back into the Champions League row and league title for the first since 2017.
EPL 2022-23 will pause during Qatar World Cup 2022
For the first time in the history of English football, there will be no Premier League match for six weeks this season during Qatar World Cup 2022. EPL will resume between 13 November 2022 to 26 December 2022 due to the 22 edition of the FIFA World Cup. The majority of players from EPL will represent their nations in Qatar World Cup which will begin on November 21, 2022.
Meet EPL 2022-23 New Team: Nottingham Forest
Congratulations to Nottingham Forest for their comeback to EPL for the first time in 23 years. They could not upgrade to division 1 of the Premier League since their relegation in 1998-1999. They made a victory comeback in division 1 beating Huddersfield with one goal in May. This team’s current manager is Steve Cooper.

Another club Fulham also returned after being relegated in the 2020/21 season. However, Norwich and Watford will miss EPL 2022-23 season game due to relegation.
