The former basketball player Stacy was born on 5 September 1979 in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada. Tracing her origin to Canada, she acquired her education till high school from there. Stacy attended Thousand Islands Secondary School for her high-school education. Later she relocated to the United States for the better prospect of learning. She achieved her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma.

Stacy stands tall at a towering height of 6 feet (1.82 meters). Besides, she has blonde hair, and her eyes color is somewhat blue. Speaking of her family, it is known that she has her parents, grandmother (Doris), and a brother whom Stacy loves immensely.

Not to mention, Stacy Dales has had a career life which can bring the water in someone’s mouth. Stacy appeared in the Olympics for her country Canada in the year 2000. She was a First Team All American in 2001 and 2002. Not only at that had time, but, she also given three consecutive major wins for her Ontario ‘AA’ high school team.


Besides, while pursuing her undergraduate study at the University of Oklahoma, she also became the first player in Oklahoma to gain a record-breaking 1700 points, 700 assists, and 600 rebounds. In the course of her senior year, Stacy led her team to the NCAA Championship game. Sadly, the team lost their game to Connecticut.

Seeing her progress over the years, Washington Mystics drafted Stacy on third overall in 2002. Stacy was even named to the All-Star team as a replacement in the same year. A short while after, Stacy retired from the league in 2004. Following her retirement from the league, she joined Chicago Sky in 2005.

Sadly, the woman with such a high caliber announced her retirement from the Women National Basketball Association on 5 April 2008. Overwhelmed by the contribution of Stacy in the increment of the popularity of WNBA, she was inducted into Brockville’s Hall of Fame, in 2016.


Following her retirement from all formats of basketball games, she joined as a sideline reporter for the college football games for ESPN. However, some dispute on the contract spurred her to retire from ESPN. Currently, she works and hosts various programs in the NFL Network.
